An immersion sensor for open vessels or drains. The rod-type design provides:
- Non-fouling smooth-surface sensor head
- Sensor gap direct flush/air purge cleaning
- Flexi-shaft fixing
Typically the AC100 or AC300 (ash) sensor tracks the loss of solids and gives an instant indication of a disturbance. It is installed within drains or collection sumps as part of an influent management system.

Typically used for environmental or effluent installations.
The AC200 (20 or 40ST) sensor design allows :
- Precise and repeatable measurement
- Low and Ultra-low suspended solids / Turbidity(ST)
- Auto brush cleaner with water flush (zero verified)
The AC200 is used to give a continuous reading of outflow water quality for comparison against composite samples.

For the production process, Invista's sensors are used from; thinstock, backwater and through to the effluent. We also deliver custom sensor solutions for unique or difficult applications.
Consistency
The wide measurement range is suited to Broke applications or low consistency speciality fibres. Optical density (%Cons.) can be used for general material solids.
Papermachine Wet-end
Retention can be continuouly calculated using sensors applied in the wet end. Measurement (Total and Filler solids) of whitewater and thinstock allows production to be stabilised and material additives to be optimised.
Excess water systems
Recovered fibre and clear filtrate re-use can be maximised to reduce fresh water usage. DAF units and Disc filters can be set for capacity versus recovery yield.
Influent Load
Identifying the source and load of a disturbance can allow a reactive contol action to be made. This helps to avoid upsets to the effluent treatment plant.
Effluent Treatment
Balancing the solids content across clarifiers, DAFs and filters reduces variability to stabilise outflow.
Environmental Monitoring
Outflow either to sewer or river can be maintained within consent limits and help prevent an incident.

The AC400 measures the fibrous depolarisation and scattering effect of fillers to provide a measure of the total and filler consistency.
- Simple on-site use using pre-calibrated curves
- Grade specific (4) calibrations
- Dual sample feature for retention monitoring
Measurement of retention allows operators to work to limits for process stability. Savings can be made in material additives and grade changes.
A pipe insertion sensor using an industry standard mounting. The head design allows the transmiiter to be serviced in-situ:
- Low flow resistence smooth-surface head
- Sensor gap direct flush cleaning option
- Choice of 18 or 38mm optic gaps
Preferred on pure furnishes, the wide measurement range is ideal for broke systems.

The ionTEK streaming current detector measures the charge demand in process streams. It has been proven to provide a repeatable measurement over years of use. The measurement of charge demand at the wet end is an indicator of the ionic conditions required to achieve uniform productivity. An operational (ionic) range can be set (by grade) to achieve the preferred running conditions.
- Cross-filter fibre removal to produce a representative colloidal sample for titration
- Auto-clean sequence per titration sample for reliablity and repeatability
- Lab. calibration sequence using a standard sample to verify charge level.
A larger process sample volume and hydraulic cleaning sequence allows the unit to operate over months with minimal cleaning maintenance. The ionTEK SCDM delivers results that payback in machine operation and material additive savings.
